Megan began her architecture degree at Andrews University, transferring to University of Tennessee after taking a gap year to work in environmental education and visitor services at Memphis Botanic Garden. During her fourth year she participated in the National Student Exchange, with study on campus at University of Oregon and with University of Oregon’s Kyoto, Japan study abroad landscape architecture program.
Her multidisciplinary educational experience was enhanced with work at University of Oregon’s Island and Coastal Archaeology Laboratory, University of Tennessee’s Ewing Art Gallery, museum education taught at Knoxville Museum of Art, and with research skills gained at Andrew’s University’s Architecture Resource Center branch of the James White Library and University of Tennessee’s Hodges Library.
In 2003, Megan graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a 5 year professional B.ARCH degree and anthropology minor, receiving the Henry Adams AIA Certificate of Merit, College Service Award, 4th and 5th year highest class GPA, General Shale Scholarship, and Dean’s List Honor Roll.
